Questions? Good — this treatment is different, and you should understand it before you book

Most people find their way here after trying massage, physio, or chiro that helped for a few days and then wore off. Below are the questions clients ask most — how the Breakthrough Session works, why it's mat-based and fully clothed, and what makes it different from what you've already tried. If you don't see yours, just ask.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Every session starts with an assessment to find the pattern driving your pain, not just the spot that hurts. A standard massage relaxes tight muscles for a day or two; the Breakthrough Session works on the underlying pattern so the relief holds. It's clinical and interactive, not a spa treatment.

Because the work happens through movement, compression, and assisted stretching — not just passive massage techniques. You wear comfortable, stretchy clothes you can move in, like gym or yoga wear. No draping, no sheets, nothing awkward.

A floor mat allows movement, leverage, and range a table can't. That's what makes the Thai-influenced, movement-based techniques possible, and those are how the session reaches the pattern underneath the pain rather than only the surface muscle. You'll never have to feel like you're falling off the table or that the table is too small to be comfortable.

When pain eases for a while and then returns, it usually means the root cause was never addressed. Each of those approaches treats one layer. The Breakthrough Session assesses how your whole body moves and works on the pattern that keeps reloading the same area.

Chronic musculoskeletal pain — neck, upper back, lower back, hip, and shoulder — especially pain that hasn't resolved with other treatment. Also post-pregnancy pain, overuse and movement-related pain, pain that's been dismissed as aging or menopause, and pain that has been completely left unexplained.

Everyone is welcome. The clinic's focus is chronic pain relief for anyone who's tried standard treatment without lasting results, though much of the work centers on women in Milton living with long-standing pain.

Sessions are provided by a Registered Massage Therapist, so they're eligible under most extended health plans that include RMT coverage. We do not submit for you but you will get a receipt to submit to your insurer. Coverage and amounts vary by plan, so it's worth checking your specific benefits.

Comfortable, stretchy clothing you can move in — the kind of thing you'd wear to a yoga or gym class. You stay fully clothed for the entire session.

Sessions are available as 60, 90, or 120 minutes. We recommend 90 minutes for most people, especially as an initial session since it is long enough to assess properly, treat meaningfully, and let your body begin to shift.

It begins with a real conversation about your history, your pain, and what you want to get back to. Then hands-on, movement-based treatment on the mat. By the time you leave, you'll know what was found, what was treated, and what comes next.
